Executive Director

Alice-M.-E.-BatesDr. Alice M. E. Bates is a native of Pensacola, Florida. She holds the following degrees; BA, Psychology; MA, Counseling; Ed.S, Education Leadership; and Ed.D, Curriculum Instruction. She has served in Higher Education 30+ years where she was employed as Associate Professor, Instructor, Counselor, and Advisor within higher education. She served as director of two Leadership programs for faculty and staff. She also briefly served as director of Head Start. She has long been an advocate for parents, students, and the underserved within the communities in which she has lived and demonstrated through her volunteer services. Dr. Bates believes that all students can learn, and that the purpose of education is to 1) transmit knowledge and assist students with developing life-long learning skills that will enable them to become caring citizens and live productive lives in this society; and 2) empower students, parents, and others with knowledge and understanding that will enable them with the ability to navigate successfully within our global society/world.
